Home/Areas we cover
Areas we cover
We are based on Portway in Stratford, E15. Nearby jobs get seen fastest, and we work across the neighbouring boroughs every week. If you are near the edge of this list, ring and ask rather than assume.
Our home patch
Stratford and the rest of Newham
This is where most of our work is, and where we can usually get to you quickest. Newham is a mix that keeps the job interesting: Victorian terraces around Forest Gate and Plaistow with original pipework and cast iron soil stacks, then new build blocks around the Olympic Park with pressurised systems and communal plant.
Those two need different things. An old terrace needs someone who has seen lead pipe, imperial fittings and a boiler shoehorned into a kitchen cupboard in 1998. A new flat needs someone who understands a heat interface unit and will not start hunting for a boiler that was never there.
Newham also has borough wide licensing for privately rented homes, so a large slice of our work is landlord compliance. If that is you, the gas safety certificate page covers what you need.

The boroughs around us
We work across these regularly. Travel time from Stratford is the main variable, so tell us the postcode when you call and we will give you a realistic arrival time rather than an optimistic one.
Tower Hamlets
Bow, Poplar, Mile End, Bethnal Green and the Isle of Dogs. A lot of converted warehouses and tower blocks, which usually means communal systems and getting agreement from a managing agent before anything happens.
E1, E2, E3, E14
Hackney
Hackney Wick, Homerton, Clapton and Dalston. Lots of Victorian conversions where two flats share pipework that was designed for one house, which is why leaks so often turn into a conversation with a neighbour.
E5, E8, E9, N1, N16
Waltham Forest
Leyton, Leytonstone and Walthamstow. Terraced streets with a high proportion of rented property, so a steady run of gas safety certificates and between tenancy repairs.
E10, E11, E17
Barking and Dagenham
Barking, Becontree and Dagenham. Interwar estate housing with a lot of systems now reaching the age where the boiler and the radiators want replacing at the same time.
IG11, RM8, RM9, RM10
Redbridge
Ilford, Seven Kings and Goodmayes. Larger houses, more bathrooms, and more houses in multiple occupation, which brings its own compliance paperwork.
IG1, IG2, IG3
Not on the list?
Ring us. For bigger jobs such as a boiler installation or a bathroom, we travel further than we would for a dripping tap, because the visit is worth the journey. It costs nothing to ask.
Being straight about it
Why we do not claim to cover all of London
Plenty of trade websites list every borough in the city, and a few list every town in the south east. It reads well and it is usually nonsense. A firm based in Stratford is not the right choice for an emergency in Richmond, and pretending otherwise wastes a morning for both of us.
We would rather be genuinely quick across east London than theoretically available everywhere. If you are outside this area and want us anyway, particularly for planned work, ring and we will be honest about whether it makes sense.
