About us

We are a plumbing, heating and electrical company based on Portway in Stratford. We work on homes and rented property across Newham and the boroughs around it, from a dripping tap to a full boiler replacement.

Who you are calling

A local team, not a booking platform

When you ring the number on this site you get us, not a national call centre that takes your details and sells the job on to whichever contractor is nearest. The person who books you in is the person who knows which of us is where and what we are carrying in the van.

That is not a marketing angle, it is just how a small local firm works. It matters because it is the difference between being told someone will be there between eight and six, and being told the truth about when we can actually get to you.

What we do

Boilers, central heating, plumbing and drainage, emergency callouts, landlord gas safety certificates, smart heating controls and bathrooms. The full list is on the services page. If what you need is not on it, ring and ask, because it is usually still something we handle.

How we work

Four things we will not do

Most complaints about tradespeople come down to the same handful of things. These are ours to get right.

We will not price it after the event

You get the figure before we start. If we open something up and the job turns out to be bigger, we stop and agree the new number with you before carrying on. An invoice should never be the first time you see a price.

We will not sell you what you do not need

If your boiler is worth repairing we will repair it. If your weak shower is a fifteen pound cartridge rather than a new bathroom, we will tell you that, even though the other answer pays better.

We will not give you a fake time slot

A real window, not a whole day sat waiting. If we are held up on the job before yours, you get a call rather than a silence.

We will not leave a mess

Dust sheets down, the old parts taken away, and the room left the way we found it. It is a low bar and it is remarkable how often it gets cleared.

Worth knowing

How to check anyone you let into your home

This applies to us as much as to anybody else, and a decent tradesperson will not be remotely offended by being asked.

For gas work specifically, the law is strict. Anyone working on a gas appliance in your home has to be on the Gas Safe Register. Not building trade in general, not plumbing generally: gas specifically. Every registered engineer carries an ID card with a licence number, a photo, an expiry date and the exact types of gas work they are qualified to do. You are entitled to ask to see it at the door, and any number on a card can be checked at gassaferegister.co.uk.

Gas work done by an unregistered person is one of the few genuinely dangerous corners that get cut in a house. If someone quotes you notably cheap for gas work and cannot produce a card, that is usually why. The same instinct is worth applying to everything else: ask for the price in writing, ask what happens if it turns out to be a bigger job, and be wary of anyone who will not put either in an email.

Who we work for

Homeowners, tenants, landlords and agents

Homeowners

Repairs, replacements and improvements, from a dripping tap to a new boiler or a full bathroom. Priced up front, explained in plain English.

Landlords and agents

Annual gas safety certificates, repairs between tenancies, and access arranged directly with tenants so you are not the middleman. Send us a portfolio and we will track renewal dates.

Tenants

If your landlord or agent has asked us to attend, we will work around your hours where we can, including evenings. Your time is worth something too.
